Carol Platt Tours Moms on the Farm

June 23, 2014 (St. Cloud, FL): The Carol Platt for Congress Campaign was honored that Carol Platt and family was selected by the American National CattleWomen, Inc. to showcase their Kissimmee Park Properties Ranch as a Beef Industry partner.

Carol Platt, discussing facts about food safety, food security, conservation & food
resources with the group during the tour.

Dozens of moms toured the 2013 Ag-Environmental Leader Award winner Kissimmee Park Properties Ranch, explored how beef gets from the pasture to your plate and participated in discussions on issues which interest most about modern beef production. Platt also discussed beef’s nutritional value and how to select and cook steaks for maximum taste and tenderness.

Kissimmee Park Properties and Carol and Shane Platt were also recognized as a 2013 regional Environmental Stewardship Award Program (ESAP) and were named as a recipient of the Commissioner’s 2013 Ag-Environmental Leadership Award, by Florida Commissioner of Agriculture Adam Putnam.

Carol Platt’s life has been profoundly shaped by service, hard work and knowing what it takes to make ends meet – in business and at home.  She is passionate about great and effective government that serves the people – and deeply concerned that neither greatness nor service are values currently representing the 9th Congressional district.  It’s what has motivated her to run – and it will be her compass when she serves.
